Genesis: 5th Birthday

Our little Genesis is growing up so fast!  I know all parents says that about their children, but everyone says it because it is true.  She is such a sweet and fun little girl; the perfect inbetweener for McKay and Lele.  She and McKay play wonderfully every single day, playing all sorts of games and with all sorts of toys.  Those games and toys are usually a little more 'boy-based' but she always brings the 'female touch' that all males need.  :)  She usually has her mommy and babies, or at the very least plays the little girl/sister that is both tough and needs saving at times (just like her Mom).  She also plays with Avonlea wonderfully.  Whether those 2 need to provide the dancing when music is on, or be the bad guys/gals for McKay to wrestle with, they do it together (Gensie usually needs saved and Lele does the saving).

She is doing great with her school as well.  She finished the 1st reading book we use to teach our kids to read and has moved on into the 2nd.  Below is a video of her prize for completing it. (It's a tradition; We did the same for Mckay)

Genesis birthday is Nov 23rd, but we decided to move her celebration up into Oct this year so that we didn't run into the Thanksgiving/Christmas busyness that always happens.  Besides, has there ever been a child who would NOT want their birthday to come sooner rather than later?

We were lucky enough to have Robyn visit during the very first part of Oct and she bought Genesis some pajamas as part of an early birthday gift.  Gensie LOVES them.  They are purple and blue puppy pajamas, and she has all-the-more reason to pretend to be a dog now.  In fact, she always asks to have her hair in pigtails when she is wearing them, because they are her ears when a dog.  :)  Thanks Grandma Eastin!  (Wish I had a picture, but can't find one)

For her birthday we gave her a Panda family Playmobil set (she loves her Playmobils), mommy and baby stuffed animal snakes and a new bike.
