BEAUTIFUL GIRL

Mom, here you go.  You wanted to see some updated pictures of Genesis. These are two of my favorites. In the first picture she looks like Nani and me, and in the second one I can see a little of Millie. Genesis is such a Joy. She is so happy and sweet; all smiles. When she was first born we thought she was a little fussy but we ended up being so wrong. Once she got her kinks worked out she has been so happy. She now rolls across the floor going after McKay's toys and she is sitting up. She is also too big to sleep during church now. But she is still quite content and usually sits through all three meetings. We are so glad she came to our house to stay.

I love this picture. You can stare at her as long as you want and she won't smile . (These have not been photo shopped. This is the real deal.)

Talk about a baby doll. You can't buy this one in stores. If you want one you have to special order it through Quinn and me and we'll think about making another one.We are told so often that she looks just like a porcelain doll.

New Lawn Mower; I have never seen one like it before

We live directly across the street from on older couple in our ward and they came by a few days after we moved into the house.  In talking to them I mentioned that I was looking for a lawn mower before the grass got too long.  Well, they left and about 10 minutes later Bro. Moultrie showed up with this beauty.  He has a newer one and never uses this anymore, but has kept it in good working order.  It is even freshly painted!  We are still looking for a push mower, but this gets the job done in the mean-time.

First week in our new house

Gensie practicing her standing up in her Grandma Eastin outfit

One of Gensie's new talents that she loves to show off all the time.

McKay is so good about sharing his toys; he just doesn't appreciate when she EATS his toys.

McKay is constantly found burping his animals and putting them down to sleep.  This is actually a stack of animals sleeping.  After he has them all covered up he will come and tell us, "Shhhhh"

This is his "Quack Quack" towel

McKay's 2nd Birthday

We decided to not have a party with friends for McKay's 2nd birthday because we were right in the middle of getting ready to move into the house.  But he still thoroughly enjoyed every part of it.

This is in downtown Vancouver.  He loves playing in the "wa wa"

Mom let him help make his own cake

McKay's version of doing the dishes

Mashing the strawberries for Strawberry Shortcake

He LOVED the candles.  He would sing happy birthday to himself and then cheer and blow out the candles.  I think we did that about 10 times.

He loves his birthday animals so much that he couldn't eat dinner without them.

Tasha put this together for him and he absolutely LOVES them.  She found them all second-hand.

This is McKay in the middle of telling you that this is his "Rawr!"  Anything that roars goes by that name, even though he can say their real names.

Snapshots

It has been a while since we posted anything.  So here are some snapshots from before we moved out of the apartment and into the house.

He thinks it is his duty to help Mom clean the beaters after she uses them.  It doesn't matter if it is cornbread batter or cookie dough; he licks them clean.

Our beautiful girl.  5 months

Tasha had just arrived home from church, and Gensie looked so pretty in this dress.  As you can see from the picture below, Gensie reached her limit.  She is great in church, so that is enough to ask of her.

Mckay loves his animals; he has to ask for the whole list of them every time he goes to bed

He was arguing about taking a nap, but Tasha insisted because she needed one so bad.  When she got up to check on him, this is what she found.
