Talking in his sleep

McKay talked in his sleep for the first time last night. Quinn had gone in before we went to bed to check on him,  he was very close to the edge , his head where his feet should be, with his legs tucked up under him and no covers on. You know, the way a two year old sleeps. Quinn moved him back the right way and after he had him  tucked back in McKay just said Simba. So funny, you can sure tell who he plays with a lot. Every lion is Simba to him.

This morning McKay got his little shopping cart and announced to me "see ya mommy, go shoppin wif shoppin cart." I said "where are you going shopping?" He said " a toys" then he headed to the garage door to get in the car.

This morning he also got a hold of our old camera that we let him play with sat down in front of a Disney book, turned to a picture of Snow White and then said " Smile Snow White" and he took a picture, looked at the screen and said "Oh cute, look Snow White oh cute" as he turned the camera toward her so she could see the picture.

These are all growing in our yard. They're beautiful, we have things blooming all around our house.

What Did I Do Today

Today I left some dishes dirty,
the bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.

The crumbs I spilled the day before
Are staring at me from the floor.
the fingerprints there on the wall
Will likely be there still next fall.

The dirty streaks on those window panes
Will still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?

I held a baby till she slept
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hide and seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.

I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that's true.

Unless you think that what I've done,
might be important to someone
with deep green eyes and soft brown hair,
If that is true....I've done my share.

Genesis 2 months old

  A friend of mine took these for me for a baby gift. They are a little outdated now. They were taken in January when she was 2 months old, now she is 7 months. It took a little while to get them back and then I forgot to post them. Here they are now, and still so cute.

We've had some new family pictures taken recently and some 6 month of Genesis. They were taken professionally so the only way to post is to take a picture of a picture. Most of these were free.

Projects

I haven't posted these yet. This is the blanket I made for McKay the one below is for Genesis but I am going to add a ruffle around the edge.

More car seat covers. I am thinking about starting a little business selling these. What does every body think and how much should I ask?

McKay

McKay has realized that wearing a bib gets mom and dad to feed him faster so he is wearing 3 bibs. He just kept putting them on.

After dinner he just put away a spinach shake.

Can anyone guess what is happening in this picture? During dinner McKay decided his" Eeaw"(donkey) need to "go poo poo toilet". Nice thing to take a picture of during dinner.
