Family Pictures

In June we had our family pictures taken. I really wanted Steph to take them for us but we usually only see her in the winter in Rexburg or during a very busy family gathering. So it is so hard to make it happen. We have some very good friends up here who offered to take them for us so we let them. They did a good job and we got some very fun pictures.

London left Cadence right

If family pictures weren't hard enough to do already. We had been trying for weeks to get them taken. We would set a date and then it would be 95 degrees so we would reschedule and then it would rain and this kept happening for a few weeks. Finally we had everything set weather was good and we were going to make this happen. We had 1 hour until we needed to be to our meeting spot. The kids had eaten dinner and were playing around the house; things were going quite well. Avonlea went to the back yard to play. She wasn't dressed yet so we didn't mind. She was wearing shorts and a tank top with 1 boot on one foot and 1 measuring cup on the other. (you can probably guess where this is headed) She was walking across the cement like that when she tripped and her face caught her. Yup, face first on the cement 1 hour before the long awaited family pictures. Quinn came in carrying a crying Avonlea and said "Well, we might have to reschedule the pictures." I said "Nope, that's why they invented photo shop, for this very reason."

As you can see in the pictures we have not yet had Jana photo shop them.

I love these ones of the girls and me. We did not get a perfect one but that's ok we got a few very cute ones. Let's just say our 2 year old (almost 3) might have been a lot of work to get to cooperate.

Evidence of our playful 2 year old: she would jump up and run off in the middle of a pose and thought it was so funny. I must say it is darling.

This is how things were a lot of the time. Jana had to be quick to get anything decent. She did a good job. Avonlea thought it was a lot of fun to not cooperate and try to get away. She was laughing the whole time which kept all of us laughing.

As Avonlea would say "Tadence left Onedon right."

This is one of my very favorites. Just look at these two studs. They are the best looking guys I have ever seen.

See how it was. Next year we will have two 2 year olds to chase for family pictures. I will be wearing basketball shorts and a T-shirt.

Gensie and London

London Natasha

This is so funny. We had to set the twins down to help with one of the kids individual pictures. We had a blanket we usually set them on but it wasn't spread out right then so we just plopped them down in the grass and they did NOT like it. They both cried their heads off just because the grass was touching their legs. It was so cute and funny.

Then Dad came to the rescue and immediately they stopped crying and were fine.

Another note about this picture: See the red spot on London's dress?  Well, apparently the Avonlea faceplant was not enough.  Quinn had just loaded the twins into the car (literally 1-2 minutes before leaving) when he ran inside to grab one more thing.  When we came back out London had blood dripping off her chin onto her dress.  Turned out it was a nose bleed (which has NEVER happened before).  All we could do was laugh and shake our heads.  We figured if we had to photoshop Avonleas entire face then a spot on a dress wouldn't be too much.  Right?  :)

You can see that Cadence is thrilled her Daddy saved her.

He is a Wonderful Daddy.

We give up, lets just kiss.
