Happy Birthday Genesis!

Gensie Lou, Sister Sue, Suzy Lou, Pig-tails, Suze/Suzie, Gens, Gensie, and of course Genesis.  Just a few of the titles our first beautiful little girl has gone by for 3 years.  She is now old enough to try and tell us which ones we are allowed to call her and which we are not.  ie: "I'm not Suzy, I'm Gensie".

She "just really wants a white bunny rabbit cake"

Birthday's for kids are so simple but so much fun!  McKay enjoyed it as much as Gensie did.  In fact, he may have been even more excited about the Playmobil's she got as a present.

She was our smallest baby at 8 lbs 9 oz, but she makes up for that in personality.  With a total of 10 hours of labor she came into this world a whole lot faster than her brother and sister.  We always say it reflects her personality because she has a drive about life that is all her own.  She is a best friend and perfect play-mate for McKay, and she is a very kind and including big sister to Avonlea.  We always see her walking down the hall of in the living room holding Avonlea's hand while saying ever-so sweetly, "Come on Lele.  Come on, come on."  And what a great imagination!  Everyday she is Maid Marian, Calamity Jane, a puppy, a mommy, a bad guy, a kitty, or she is going to be "just like Jesus"  "just like Superman" or "just like Batman".  Usually the day is full of many, if not all of these and more.  She has also informed us many times that when she "gets bigger like Mom, I am going to make pancakes and oatmeal and do the dishes."  You can't help but just watch her and smile the whole time because she has such a spark and life about her.  Gensie is also our early riser.  Quinn is usually off to work around 6:30 and she is usually up before then regardless of when she goes to sleep.

Here is a list of some of her favorite things right now:
Color: Pink
Food: Oatmeal and Grapefruit
Person: Grandpa Pearce
Toy: 2 elephants which she named Ellie and Grandpa :)
Movie: Lady and the Tramp
Book: Pajama Time! by Susan Boynton
Store: I am a Child of God store (which is actually called Once Upon a Child)
Song: Latter-day Prophets

A few things she does not like are sugar/sweets (not a bad problem to have!), having her hair done, and going to bed (too social).  She also wants so bad to learn to read because McKay is.  Nearly everyday she will come to me and say, "Mom, we have to do my reading lesson!"

36 pictures for 36 months
Month by month you can see her grow and change from the tiny doll she was to the to the active doll she is.  She is still SO much fun to dress up.  Only now when I put her in a pretty dress and do her hair she usually has a little dance to go with it.
