We've been bottling and freezing and bottling and freezing and bottling and freezing! In June I froze about 20lb of strawberries. We froze a bunch of rhubarb from our own garden. In July and August we picked and froze 90lb of blueberries. In September we picked and bottled 23 quarts of tomatoes from our own garden and froze 120 cobs of corn not from our garden. I wish they were. In October we bought 125lb of peaches. We bottled 54 quarts and are freezing 35lb. With all the bottling we've done everyone of our jars sealed and they are second hand jars and even some of the lids were used 2nd and 3rd time around and everything sealed. It feels so good to be done and feels even better to have all that put away. One of my favorite things about living up here is that we can pick our own blueberries. We love them so so so much. By this time next year they will all be gone because our kids eat them for a snack every day.
You. Are. A. Champion! Our food storage consists of water bottles.
